We are flippin' out on this #MainStreetMonday! Mostly because we are featuring the town of Flippin, Arkansas. Located in Marion County, Flippin has a population of 1,355- a little rural hamlet that you can find in the Ozarks in the northern part of the state.
Community health is just as important in rural areas as it is everywhere else, and RD’s Community Facilities program is there to fund projects that promote it. We invest in recreation centers, assisted living facilities, and food banks, like this one here in Hillside, New Jersey
In the most rural parts of the US, the closest doctor’s office might not be close at all. Luckily, Rural Development is proud to invest in broadband & telemedicine services for these areas, which can help provide the care they need right into their homes #NationalRuralHealthDay
