As we remember the 500,000 lives we have lost to this pandemic, I’m asking all of you to please stay vigilant. We’re finally letting science lead. We will get through this.
Facebook’s course correction? Necessary, but we can't let companies hold entire countries hostage because they don’t like being regulated. These platforms must start acting in good faith – we’ll pass legislation to guarantee it.
As I told @NoelKing, in next week’s hearing, we will continue to seek answers about what went wrong on January 6th. Those answers will guide the solutions.
As I said on @maddow, there is so much work to do, from ending this pandemic to confirming President Biden’s cabinet to protecting the temple of our democracy. We will get it done, because we must.
A moment of silence tonight with my colleagues to honor the 500,000 lives lost during this pandemic. We will not forget.
America has always been seen as a beacon of freedom across the world. Let’s stand up for journalists across the world and make sure crimes against them don't go unanswered.
If Congress passes the For the People Act, every president would be required to disclose their tax returns. Let’s pass it, and never allow such an abuse of transparency again.
As our hearing concludes, I want to make one thing clear: “provocateurs” did not storm the Capitol. They were not “fake Trump protestors.” The mood on January 6th was not “festive.” That is disinformation.
Today Senator Peters and I are chairing the first Senate hearing on the Capitol insurrection. We need answers. This can never happen again.
Like @POTUS says: to heal, we must remember. We’re ramping up vaccinations and we’ll beat this virus, but we cannot forget those we’ve lost.
The story of 15 year-old Claudette Colvin, who would not give up her seat for a white passenger in 1955 Alabama, is often overlooked. This interview by @abbydphillip is an essential lesson in history.
From the beginning of this crisis, healthcare workers like those at @AllinaHealth have been on the front lines fighting this pandemic. It’s time for social media companies to do right by them and crack down the spread of vaccine disinformation.
Today we start confirmation hearings for an Attorney General who will not act like the President’s personal lawyer. A welcome return to integrity.
Black-owned small businesses have been disproportionately hit by this pandemic. So many have shown remarkable resilience, but we need to pass COVID relief to help those struggling.
Today would have been John Lewis’ 81st birthday. We miss you every day, and we will fight to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act in your honor.
With care and kindness, @FLOTUS is making her mark.
America needs better infrastructure, plain and simple. We can do it with the right investment, and we can create good-paying jobs too.
“More than 7 in 10 Americans now back Mr. Biden’s aid package."
COVID relief is on the way.
Many of us stand on the shoulders of immigrants. I'm proud to join @SenatorMenendez, @RepLindaSanchez & @SenAlexPadilla to introduce the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021. We must keep families together, expand our economy & protect workers. This is a moment to show America's values.
