Ok here’s the craziest part of #DownfallsHigh to me...all the VHS footage in the entire movie was shot on my camera that my friend bought at a garage sale for $20....so there ya go....anything is possible with a vision + ur best friends 🎥 enjoy.....
Also......the wardrobe on #DownfallsHigh is legitimately straight out of mine + kells closets.....the color palettes between scenes + what emotion is being portrayed was so important to us....this shit looks fucking beautiful if u ask me.....
The idea of tackling the “van goh syndrome” is something kells + myself have been talking about for a decade now....why are so many great artists so tortured? why are so many great artists not appreciated while they are here? #DownfallsHigh is honest + pure, here’s to the future.
Grateful as fuck for the team involved with #DownfallsHigh I legitimately got to design sets I’ve been seeing in my head since I was 16 but never had the ability to opportunity to pull off.....getting to finally witness these visions in real life is really heavy for me....🥺
One of the things I’m most proud of in #DownfallsHigh is the sound design...I spent soooooo many hours going thru every single individual sound on kells album....soooo many hours playing with how to perfectly match the emotion + give every moment the respect it deserved....
