Blaming an “intelligence failure” on Jan 6 stretches the definition of intelligence. Much of the talk of storming the Capitol was in public social media posts, not to mention Trump’s own very public comments egging them on.
@jimsciutto How do you get all the campaign mails, the mypillow.commie emails, the organization was done in the open using the system which means , opps , leaked.
@jimsciutto Plenty of news stories about potential white supremacist/fascist violence in DC prior to 1/6--calling it an "intelligence failure" is willfully ignorant.
@jimsciutto We all knew the potential. It was chatter everywhere.
@jimsciutto Not even close to an IC failure. This was a combination of negligence, and as I’m fairly sure we will find out, political interference on the part of the Trump administration.
@jimsciutto They told us for weeks, on Twitter, that 1/6 was going to happen. It's not as if they were trying to be discrete.
@jimsciutto Anyone who doubts Trump planned the riot is completely ignorant of the facts.
